Our Process

Wood rot repair isn’t just replacing a bad piece of lumber. We actually kill the fungus, bacteria and bugs that are causing the damage.  We use a multi-step process which when complete will add strength to the area, stop the existing decay and even prevent it from coming back.

Our process is based around repairing, not replacing. Wood rot occurs because the wood gets damp and attracts bugs that attack and destroy the wood, as well as fungus and bacteria that will soften and damage the wood.

We remove the decayed wood, treat the area to kill what is causing the decay, and implement preventative measures to ensure the wood rot will not return.

Then we fill in the area with a special sculpting putty and mold it so you can’t tell where the wood stops and the putty begins.

What we use is not the typical bondo.  The sculpting putty is a flexible putty that is moldable, sculptable and paintable, which makes it perfect to use.  We can mold the putty be an exact match to your existing trim profiles.

When the weather changes, your house will swell or flex. This material will actual flex with the surrounding wood making it a lifetime solution without worry of cracking or popping out.
